The Basic Baton Certification course deals with the blocking and striking capabilities of the straight expandable baton. Various techniques are taught, including but not limited to stance, patterns of movement, baton grips, baton methods of carry, baton draws, blocks, strikes and baton retention.
Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive a competency certification card valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance.
This course is sanctioned by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) and exceeds the mandatory qualifications for the State Baton Permit.
